What Fits & Size Guide

Not sure which size to pick? Here’s what each one holds.

Mini (the “casino bag”): Wallet, keys, phone, and lip balm or lipstick. Just the bare essentials for when you don’t want to carry a big bag.
Small: Tablet or Kindle, wallet, keys, a makeup, toiletry, or pencil bag, and a 13-inch laptop. Moms also use it as a day trip diaper bag with a few diapers and wipes.
Medium: A 15 or 16-inch laptop, wallet, keys, makeup bag, diapers and wipes, and small essentials.
Large: All your essentials and your laptop, plus a change of clothes. Big enough to double as a weekend bag.

International shipping:

Shipping on orders under $150 is a flat rate fee of $15
Shipping on orders at or above $150 is FREE

REFUND POLICY

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at hi@starberrylane.com. We will send you a pre-paid return label to your email address.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

BOOK SLEEVES

What is a quilted book sleeve?

A quilted book sleeve is a padded fabric cover designed to help protect a book while you're carrying it in a purse, tote, backpack, or travel bag. The quilted layers provide extra cushioning compared with a simple fabric pouch.

What fabric is best for a book sleeve?

I love quilting cotton. It's soft, durable, easy to work with, and available in practically every print imaginable. Pairing cotton with batting also gives a handmade book sleeve its soft quilted texture.

Do book sleeves actually protect books?

A padded book sleeve can help protect a book from everyday wear like scratches, bent covers, folded pages, and other items rubbing against it inside your bag. It isn't a hard protective case, but it gives your book an extra layer of cushioning.

Can you use a book sleeve for a Kindle?

Yes! Depending on the dimensions of the sleeve and your device, many book sleeves can also be used as Kindle or e-reader sleeves. Always compare your device measurements with the listed sleeve dimensions before ordering.

Do book sleeves fit hardcover books?

Many do, but sizing matters. Thicker hardcover books need more room than standard paperbacks. I like making sleeves that can accommodate real books, including some of the chunkier reads sitting on our nightstands.

Are Starberry Lane book sleeves handmade?

Yes. Each Starberry Lane book sleeve is cut, quilted, sewn, pressed, and finished by me in small batches. Because I work with rotating fabrics, many designs are available only while that particular fabric lasts.

SMALL BATCHES

Why do you make everything in small batches?

Starberry Lane isn't a factory. It's me, my sewing machine, a pile of fabric, and usually a cup of coffee I've forgotten to drink while it's still hot. Making things in small batches lets me keep experimenting with new prints instead of producing hundreds of identical pieces.

How long is a fabric available?

Because everything is made in small batches, the fabrics change often and certain prints may only be available for a short time. A fabric might become a quilted tote, then a book sleeve, then a zipper pouch or wristlet until I've used the very last scrap. When it's gone, something new takes its place.

Will a print I loved be restocked?

Usually not. Once a fabric is used up, that design is retired and a new one takes its spot. If a print catches your eye, it's best not to wait on it.

Choose to pay in 4 installments.

Your first payment is either due at checkout or 2 weeks after your purchase. The next 3 remaining installments are automatically charged to your card saved on Shop Pay every 2 weeks. Don't worry, you'll get an email reminder before each payment to remind you.

Are there late fees?

No, there are no late fees if you miss a scheduled payment.

What is the option to pay in installments on Shop Pay?

When checking out with Shop Pay, you now have the option to pay now or later. Paying in installments on Shop Pay allows you to split your purchase amount into 4 equal, biweekly installment payments—with 0% interest, no hidden or late fees, and no impact on your credit score.* In some instances, your first payment is due when you make your purchase; otherwise, your first payment is due 2 weeks after your purchase.

What if I make a return on a purchase made through Installments with Shop Pay?

If your refund amount is less than the amount remaining on your Shop Pay Installments balance, then you can expect one or both of the following:

A smaller payment balance on the final payment
Less future payments on the remaining loan balance
